In this case, true living and true dying means living and dying in accordance with God. 20th century philosophers say that Christianity essentially eliminates death; in Christianity death does not exist because there is a resurrection and the transcendental world. But as it is known, this is far from the truth, and there are not only one, but even two deaths in Christianity. “Ars Moriendi” emerges as a response to the mid-14th century Plague that takes over Europe.
