A grandiose program has been announced for the 10th anniversary year of the film festival in Latvia. The films touch on a surprising number of topics, from superhuman abilities to overcoming obstacles in relationships with a father or partner. They will reveal world-famous events, like September 11, from the other side - through the view of a participant in the incident. They will reveal a way to avoid judgmental views, social or economic hierarchy. They will draw parallels between the protesting freedom fighters and the younger generation.
In the film "Don VS Lightning" we will see the famous actor Peter Mullan, who could be seen in the popular Netflix series "Wild West". The short film "Free Fall" is based on an excerpt from the book "Swimming with Sharks" by the Dutch writer Joris Luyendijk, which tells how the financial world works. Some films are the personal experience of directors and screenwriters or are based on real events.
